Goblin Metal
Santa Barbara
On a cold, dreary winter night in July of 2006, Nicholas Von Doom and Tim were in the woods engaging in general tomfoolery when they stumbled upon a mysterious cardboard box with their names crudely inscribed with a Sharpie® Permanent Marker. Inside they found a letter handwritten in blood instructing them to write and record an album about the destruction of mankind at the hands of small, hideous creatures. Additionally, it mentioned that failure to complete this task would result in gruesome death. The letter was signed, "goblins".
Frightened and still a little buzzed, Nicholas and Tim immediately ran back into their cave and began frantically writing melodies and rhythms using an assortment of straws, whistles, and wooden spoons. The amalgamation of these sounds and Von Doom's indecipherable yelling soon became known to the world as NEKROGOBLIKON. The collection of music created that night was eventually named Goblin Island and was unleashed upon the world on January 1st, 2007. After receiving much Internet acclaim and a couple Grammys, Nicholas and Tim were relieved, assuming the goblins must have been satisfied. However, a couple years later another cardboard box appeared nearby their cave.
The goblins wanted more. Not just more music, but more people performing it, more silly instruments being used, and more Sharpies. Tim and Nicholas proceeded to kidnap four strangers and force them to help do the goblins' bidding. After another two years of writing, recording, drinking, and compulsive snacking, the new lineup of NEKROGOBLIKON released their sophomore album STENCH, which garnered them even more accolades. Rolling Stone raved about the album, calling it "the most dazzling album of the year." The LA Times stated "one can't help but be dazzled by STENCH." Even Paul McCartney praised the album, saying "if the degree to which I was dazzled was measured by volumes of water, STENCH would be an ocean."
At the goblins' command, NEKROGOBLIKON went on to perform these songs in public for months with the sole purpose of frightening children. This resulted in even further success for the band, eventually leading to them fully enslaving the Internet and being invited to shriek at innocent people at large musical festivals in Europe. "Surely, the goblins must be satisfied by now" thought the band. Weeks later another box appeared...

Rainbowdragoneyes began carving his own niche in 2006, and has remained there ever since. Using primitive video game hardware such as the Nintendo GameBoy and Sega Genesis, he writes what can only be described as Extreme Chiptune Dance Metal… adding equal parts whimsical prose, anthemic melody and unequivocal fury with his vocal assault.
He has performed all across the country on tour and at festivals, conventions and Expos. His music can be heard in videogames such as Rock Band Network and Pump It Up Infinity. He continues to bridge the gap between Metal, Chiptune, and VGM with his third album "The Secret Mirror," to be released later this year.

Fiends At Feast, Mortality Salience, Tlazolteotl, & A Thousand Shall Fall @ Hangmans Oak Saturday 9/20/14

Blackened Death Metal
Bay Area
Striking a luciferian bargain between black and death metal, Fiends at Feast sound like the hellish, gruesome aftermath of a street fight between Deicide and Marduk. The commanding, vicious vocals are a hateful diatribe against the feeble Nazarene, while the razor-wire guitars slash at his wrists and the rhythm section smashes his skull to smithereens. This is not the monotonous, over-produced faux-extreme metal that gets shoved down our throats on a daily basis. This is the real shit, the shit that makes you remember what you liked about black/death metal in the first place. It’s rough and hungry and reeks of a band putting their blood, sweat and even more blood into mastering their craft. -Josh Haun

Mortality Salience
Unconventional Black Death Metal
We are currently a two piece extreme metal band born in late 2012. Combining influences from bands such as Death, King Crimson, Mayhem, etc....

Metal
San Francisco
Hemorage was formed in 2007 by a group of friends at a high school in San Francisco, California. Members of Hemorage are Jon on Lead Guitar/Vocals, Toby on Rhythm Guitar/Bass/Vocals, and Beto on Drums/Vocals. From three different countries (Philippines, Cambodia, Guatemala), each were brought together by their musical interests and has persisted since then.
Three words best describe their sound: IN YOUR FACE. Their energy-filled stage presence is heavily influenced by metal and punk rock. Hemorage does not conform to one sound and at the same time maintains their described sound. Many who attend a Hemorage show say that they would have an intense and fun time.
Hemorage began their band playing covers at a batting cage room in high school. After a number of created songs, they began gaining recognition in 2010 when playing at a venue called Thee Parkside. On the same year, Hemorage’s fan base began to grow more playing frequent shows at the Submission (once name the Balazo). Since then, there is an increasing audience throughout the Bay Area and various places around the world for Hemorage.
As a member of Hemorage, it is important to stand up for what makes you truly happy and to go hard at it. The band has a strong Do-It-Yourself philosophy. They are also about the philosophy of by the people for the people. From Joey Voodoo’s interview, Hemorage creates their merchandise from their own hands independently. When it comes to putting themselves out there, they will do their hardest to promote themselves by putting flyers everywhere, handing out flyers at events, talking with the people at the shows.
We, Hemorage, don’t call our fans a fan; we call them friends no matter who they are. We love the thrill and excitement of playing on-stage as it gives just as much pleasure as the audience enjoying us, no matter how many attend.
"Hemorage has built a great following in the San Francisco Bay Area with their tenacious DIY attitude and in your face metal music. Their hard work and great tunes has a fan base that is spreading throughout the US and across many international borders. These guys are some of the hardest working musicians I’ve seen. Bands like Hemorage deserve to be heard and the best thing about them, besides their music, is their attitude about not following the mainstream!" -Joey Voodoo
"Frantic metalcore band from right here in the bay area...the playing is top notch, the screaming, and the result of comes straight from the heart, so thumbs up!" -Maximum Rock n Roll
"They had a great intensity and great trash style...I found the singer/ lead guitar player interesting with a despicable me minion shirt and shorts but its cool to see someone be himself. I want to see these guys again for sure. They performed a cover of LMAFOs shots and had they house going crazy." -HaywardHC Underground Hardcore, Metal & Punk
"This San Franciscan band has really good performance, especially the vocals. What an awesome voice, that's the spirit! He's feelin'it it allright! What a hateful-spirited album! Dirty guitar sounds make the album like old school. There are 4 creatures in the album cover, which is black & white. It's kinda like grindcore album covers also there are grind riffs at the tracks. We wish Hemorage a successful career in their music life!" -Coffinfeeder Magazine from Bursa, Turkey
"Hemorage is an exciting hardcore punk band from San Francisco who are seemingly unafraid of letting their sound descend into pure chaos. Filled with crazed solos, powerful riffs and a general love of destruction Hemorage is a fun listen to say the least...the second you turn Hemorage onto the max you know you're in for a wild and scary ride that will rip your head off and toss it into the circle pit...if you're looking for a heavy punk band to throw your neck out headbanging too Hemorage is the band for you." -Two Guys Metal Reviews, France

The Kennedy Veil, A Thousand Shall Fall, & Inanimate Existence @ The Catalyst Sunday 9/14/14

Sunday 9/14/14

Death Metal
Northern California

The last hope for humanity is The Kennedy Veil. Sent by those who must not be seen, to save a planet that is not their own, in a world of greed, hate and complacency, they come to cleanse the earth of the spreading plague; the beast known as 'BRK-DÖN' (the Breaker of Downs) to deliver us unto the golden age of 'BALAST'N'. The Kennedy Veil may be our only chance...
In 2009 the world bore witness to a whole new brutality, sure to brace the metal scene for years to come. Ascending from the depths of the Northern California Valley, The Kennedy Veil unleashed upon the scene their own fanatical perspective of American Death Metal.
The Kennedy Veil started as a quartet composed of Casey Childers (ex-Forktung), Gabe Seeber (Alterbeast, Decrepit Birth, ex-Wretched Dawn), Cody Walker(ex-Skribble) and Shawn Peterson. The ensemble recorded their first album “The Sentence of Their Conqueror” with engineer Josh Williams at Metal Works studios and released a compilation of 8 visceral tracks which quickly grabbed the attention of the west coast. With the release of this album, The Kennedy Veil played shows relentlessly with legendary acts such as Cephalic Carnage, Exhumed, Cattle Decapitation, Macabre, Decrepit Birth, Origin, Divine Heresy and Abysmal Dawn.
In 2011, The Kennedy Veil came in contact with Unique Leader Records and was added to their devastating roster of modern death metal acts for a multi-album deal. With the departure of their vocalist Cody Walker, The Kennedy Veil auditioned dozens of vocalists and stumbled across local front man Taylor Wientjes. With his diverse vocal range and will to decimate the masses, the covenant was sealed.
In 2012, the band went to work on writing the follow up to “The Sentence of Their Conqueror” and prepared 11 dynamic and hostile tracks which would come together to form as the “Trinity of Falsehood” – a doctrine that will enslave the ears of the lawless and govern the damned into a frenzy of panic. “Trinity of Falsehood” is set to be released worldwide on January 21st 2014.

Inanimate Existence was formed in Santa Cruz, California in 2012 by Joel Guernsey, Ron Casey, and Cameron Porras. Shortly after, the band started writing songs for a demo which was later submitted to Unique Leader Records. They were quickly picked up by the label and started writing their first full length.
On July 17th 2012, the debut album “Liberation Through Hearing” was released worldwide and had a great response even though the band had only been around for a short period of time at that point. After the release of their first album they went out and did numerous shows around the US and later did a full US/Canada tour in May 2013. Since then the band has released multiple albums and has toured internationally in support.
